Leicester Food Festival Returns for a ‘Bigger and Better’ 2025 Celebration

Leicester’s most anticipated culinary event, the Leicester Food Festival, is back at Abbey Park from 9th-10th August, following a sell-out debut last year.

This year promises to be ‘even more spectacular’, with an exciting weekend filled with mouth-watering food, family-friendly activities, live music, and a host of new attractions.

Building on the success of last year’s debut, the festival will showcase the very best of Leicester’s vibrant food scene and beyond, offering an unforgettable summer experience for foodies, music lovers, and families alike.

Festival Highlights:

  • 40+ Street Food Vendors: From spicy street tacos to gourmet burgers, festival-goers can expect an eclectic mix of bold and delicious street food from around the globe.
  • Live Music All Weekend: With headline acts such as Mercury, the ultimate Queen tribute band, Steptastic bringing 90s nostalgia, and the popular MacBusted, the festival offers non-stop music for all tastes.
  • Midlands Makers Market: Over 80 talented local creators and food producers will showcase their products, giving visitors the chance to support local businesses and sample unique, handmade goods.
  • Exciting Competitions & Activities: From donut-eating challenges to a kids’ skate park and climbing wall, the festival guarantees fun for all ages. New additions include a Bubblologist for mesmerising bubble magic and a Balloon Disco in the Big Top Tent.
  • Family Fun Galore: Children can enjoy face painting, glitter workshops, a sand workshop, and the famous Stonehurst Farm Cuddle Corner, where they can meet adorable animals and browse fresh local produce.
  • Arts & Crafts: The festival will also feature a wide range of arts and crafts, adding an extra creative flair to the event.
  • Laugh-Out-Loud Comedy Acts: Get ready for the hilarious UK Kids Comedy Festival Joke Spot and other comedic performances that are sure to leave you in stitches.

In addition to food and fun, the festival is proud to support Open Hands Food Bank, a local charity dedicated to feeding families in need across Leicester.
