This year’s glittering awards ceremony will take place on September 15th at Athena, Leicester, and will feature eight competitive categories:

  • Best Takeaway
  • Best Pub Restaurant
  • Best Fine Dining
  • Best Vegetarian Restaurant
  • Best Catering
  • Best New Restaurant
  • Restaurant of the Year
  • Best Street Food

Organised Leicester’s Pukaar Group, the Leicestershire Curry Awards continue to grow each year, with increasing numbers of establishments eager to be part of the festivities—and to compete for one of the county’s most prestigious culinary titles.

“Winning at the Leicestershire Curry Awards is a mark of distinction and a powerful way to showcase your business,” said Romail Gulzar, founder of the awards.

“Each year, we’re blown away by the passion, creativity, and dedication shown by our local chefs and restaurateurs. These awards aren’t just about recognising great food—they’re about celebrating the culture, community, and hard work that goes into making Leicestershire’s curry scene one of the best in the country.

“Being nominated—let alone winning—can raise your profile significantly, attract new customers, and build credibility in a competitive industry. It’s also an incredible opportunity to be part of something positive and unifying that brings the whole community together.

“Whether you’re a small family-run takeaway or a fine-dining restaurant with big ambitions, we encourage everyone to get involved. Let’s make this year’s celebration the best one yet!”

This year, over 35 finalists will be selected, with the top five in each category determined by public nominations.
