A Leicester man has been sentenced to prison after relentlessly harassing his victim with calls and messages over a two-month period of stalking.
Joshua Allen, 36, made between 80 and 100 calls a day to the woman and sent numerous texts and social media messages. Each time she blocked him, he created a new fake profile to continue contacting her.

He also sent photos falsely suggesting he was at the same holiday camp as the victim, a claim police later confirmed was untrue.
On Friday, at Leicester Crown Court, Allen, who lives on Heathcott Road in Leicester, was sentenced to four years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to stalking causing serious alarm or distress.
Allen even reached out to people the victim knew, urging them to persuade her to communicate with him, according to authorities.
Following her complaint to the police, the victim reported feeling unsafe and described the toll the harassment had taken on her mental health.
Detective Constable Shannon Clare commented: “While stalking may not always involve physical harm, its impact on victims cannot be overlooked. No one should have to endure constant calls or messages from someone they want no contact with, or live in fear every time they leave their home.
“The victim in this case did the right thing and reported what was happening to police. I hope this outcome encourages anyone else who has been a been a victim of similar behaviour by Joshua Allen – or indeed anyone else – to come forward and let us know about it.
“I hope this also provides her with a degree of closure and relief that justice has been served.”
