A murder investigation is underway following the death of a man at a property on Sawley Street, Leicester, in the early hours of Sunday, 5 October.
Police were called to the address by the East Midlands Ambulance Service at 1:37am. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 30s with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following initial enquiries, six men have been arrested in connection with the incident. A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Five others, aged between 24 and 53, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All remain in police custody.
Detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) are leading the investigation and continue to work to establish the full circumstances of the incident. Officers have carried out house-to-house visits and reviewed CCTV footage as part of the ongoing enquiry.
A forensic investigation is also underway at the property, and a specialist search team has been deployed. While Sawley Street was cordoned off for much of the day, the restriction has now been lifted.
Detective Chief Inspector Tim Lindley, who is heading the investigation, said: “Significant policing resources have been dedicated to this investigation as we work to establish exactly what took place.
“We believe the incident occurred inside the property during the early hours of this morning. Tragically, a man has lost his life.
“We can confirm that the victim and the suspect in custody were known to each other. Our enquiries are ongoing to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
“Throughout the day, officers have been in the area speaking to local residents and offering reassurance. We urge anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual to come forward.”
