A POPULAR South Korean boyband BTS is set to drive fans into a frenzy this weekend, when their latest concert is streamed live in Leicester.
Leicester’s Showcase, Odeon and Vue cinemas are just a handful of venues across the world who’ll be streaming a live concert by pop sensation BTS tomorrow (Saturday, March 12).
‘BTS Permission To Dance On Stage’ is the latest world tour series headlined by the Korean pop icons, featuring “powerful performances” and the greatest hit songs from throughout their incredible 12 year career.
The septet—consisting of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will be performing live on stage from Seoul Olympic Stadium in Tokyo , and millions of frenzied fans are expected to join them virtually at cinemas across the world.
The band’s popularity lies in the power of their tight and energetic dance routines and their lyrics, which often touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism.
Their earlier Los Angeles shows were seen by approximately 813,000 people across the four sold-out shows, making them one of the most successful shows in 2021.
Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul will be shown in Leicester at 8.45am and 12.45pm and tickets starts from £22.
The running time is 3 hour and 15 minutes.
While the price is slightly steeper than your average movie ticket, you’ll also get an original BTS postcard to commemorate the concert, said a spokesman.
