Highcross Leicester is inviting shoppers to celebrate Mothering Sunday (30 March) in a special way this year by sharing heartfelt messages to their loved ones, which will be featured on its iconic beacons.
From now until 26 March, visitors can send in personal messages to honour the special mother-figures in their lives. These messages will be illuminated across the seven-foot beacons in St Peter’s Square on Mothering Sunday.
This initiative returns by popular demand after over 100 photos and messages were submitted for last year’s National Dog Day, Mothering Sunday, and Father’s Day events.
To participate, simply share a message of up to 150 words about someone you want to celebrate by sending a direct message to Highcross on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or X, or by commenting on the dedicated Mothering Sunday post across any of the social platforms.
In addition to the chance to celebrate your loved ones on the illuminated beacons, shoppers can also enjoy a variety of seasonal offers throughout the centre, including Dune’s free chocolate hearts with any purchase, Skechers’ 20% in-store discount, and 50% off any fragrance at The Fragrance Shop.
Frankie & Benny’s will also open early exclusively for the weekend’s festivities, offering a 2-for-1 brunch, perfect for treating your mother-figure.
