It is part of First Time for Everything, a programme designed by Royal Voluntary Service to support physical and mental health and wellbeing. Supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, First Time for Everything gives people, particularly those that are older or less mobile, the opportunity to try something new for free in their local community, and to be social and active.

Local hula hooping teacher, Doe Demure, will be introducing the art of hula hooping to participants. The session is accessible for all and light refreshments will be available afterwards.

“It’s never too late to try something new and to have fun trying,” said Laura Chow, head of charities, People’s Postcode Lottery.

First Time for Everything activities are a safe, gentle and enjoyable way to be active and social, which are vital to our health and wellbeing. Thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery, local people will be able to enjoy a wide range of interesting activities this year.”
