Tributes have been paid to a well known Leicester businessman and his son, who died in a car accident at the weekend.
Simon Hill and his son Harry Hill, perished in the crash, which happened on Sunday, April 16.
The news was announced on LinkedIn by his wife Caroline.
“This is a very shocking and painful moment for everyone that had the privilege of knowing them,” she said of the tragedy.
“There are no words that can describe how much they mean to us, please keep them in your hearts.”
Mr Hill was the owner of Total Motion, a fleet management business based in Leicester, which he founded in 1999.
His son, a former Loughborough College student, was head of fleet at the company.
Hundreds of tributes have been paid to the pair online, with many praising Simon not only as a businessman, but a “fabulous human being.”
“Completely heartrending, there are no phrases that can convey the profound regret we feel at Fleet Packs upon hearing this devastating news,” said a spokesman for the company.
“Simon was a trailblazer in our industry and highly regarded by everyone. Harry was a true gentleman and a credit to you,” they added.
Heather Gilling, hailed Simon a “fabulous human being.”
“This is just awful news. I didn’t know Harry but had the pleasure of working with Simon for many years and he was a tremendous support to myself and my colleagues,” she said.
“He was professional, knew his stuff so well but mostly just a fabulous human being. Even when I left if I needed to ask any questions Simon would always support with an answer. What a tragedy. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.”
“I have had the real pleasure of dealing with Simon over a number of years and was a true captain of our industry,” added Colin Hutton, Fleet Director at Vindis Group Limited.
“My thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends and work colleagues. Both Simon and Harry will sorely missed.”
Total Motion Vehicle Management is described online as ‘the largest family run and privately owned fleet management and leasing provider in the UK.’
It has been included in De Montfort University’s list of the Top 500 companies in the East Midlands for the last few years.
Details of the funeral arrangements for Simon and Harry will be made in the coming days.
