Organisers behind the Leicestershire Curry Awards are making one final call for nominations as the deadline closes in.
People across the county are being urged to get involved, by nominating their favourite South Asian eateries. The deadline for this year’s nominations ends on July 19.
This year’s event will be the seventh time the Leicestershire Curry Awards have taken place. Local curry lovers can nominate in eight categories; Best Pub Restaurant, Best Catering, Best Takeaway and Best Fine Dining Restaurant, Best Vegetarian Restaurant, Best Street Food, Restaurant of the Year and Best New Restaurant.
The competition is organised by Pukaar Group, and continues to grow annually.
“If you know a restaurant or takeaway which deserves to be recognised, put their name forward and they may find themselves winners at this year’s awards,” said Romail Gulzar, founder of Pukaar and the Leicestershire Curry Awards.
“The competition is hotting up, and looking to be the biggest and best in its seven year history!”
This years Leicestershire Curry Awards take place on September 23 at Leicester’s Athena Events Venue.
