The three-day event will run from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 February, with activities taking place daily from 5pm to 10pm. Visitors can expect illuminated art installations, vibrant projections, live performances and interactive workshops, alongside family-friendly entertainment throughout the park.
Sections of Queen’s Park will be turned into glowing stages, offering something for all ages and making the festival a standout highlight of the winter season.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the council’s lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “We’re thrilled to bring Loughborough Light Nights to beautiful Queen’s Park for the very first time.
“This exciting new event will not only brighten up the winter evenings but also showcase our commitment to supporting local businesses and creating a vibrant town centre.
“Thanks to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, this event will be free to attend, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and enjoy something truly special.”
More information about Loughborough Light Nights will be revealed over the coming weeks on the Discover Charnwood website at www.discovercharnwood.co.uk/lights.
