People can nominate their chosen young person in one of four categories, Young Person of Courage, Young Volunteer, Young Leader, and Young Artist.

Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Mike Kapur OBE CStJ, said: “This annual awards event is designed to celebrate the achievements of our exceptional young people across the city and county. It is an opportunity for us all to come together to recognise their individual talents and the outstanding contributions they make to their local communities.

“Please show your support for my awards by nominating the amazing young people you know today. This is your opportunity to show them how much we appreciate their efforts and how highly they are valued by their friends, families and communities. My award panel is looking forward to finding out more about these young people and the difference they make.”

The closing date for this year’s nominations is 14 February 2025.

The award scheme is open to all 13 to 19-year-olds. Nominations can be made by other young people, schools and colleges, parents or carers, as well as any other agency or individual.
