A teenage girl has been taken to hospital with serious injuries , after being hit by a car in Leicester.
An appeal is being made following the serious collision earlier this morning in Humberstone Road, Leicester (Monday, May 23).
A teenage girl was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with serious injuries, after she was struck by a black Fiat Scudo TW200, close to the junction with Farringdon Street at around 8.25am.
Humberstone Road remains closed county-bound, while officers carry out further enquiries. No arrests have been made.
Officers from Leicestershire Police are appealing for motorists with dashcams to come forward to help with their investigations.
“While our investigation in very much in its early stages, I would ask that any motorists with dashcams, who were in the area this morning, get in touch.
“The collision happened on a busy route in and out of the city, as people will have been going to school and work. I would therefore also ask anyone who saw what happened – or anyone who saw the black Fiat prior to the collision occuring – to come forward.
“Any information you have could assist us”.
