How to Get Free Coffee and Puppucinos in Leicester over the Coronation Weekend

A Leicester coffee shop is offering people with the name ‘Charles’ the chance to nab a free hot drink over the coronation weekend.

To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, Leicester’s 200 Degrees coffee shop, which sits in Market Street, is bestowing the honour of a free drink on anyone called Charles from Saturday 6- Monday 8 May.

Particularly regal members of the furry four-legged community will also be getting the royal treatment, with free puppucinos for any corgis.

Anyone named Charles can visit the city’s 200 Degrees coffee shop with proof of ID to receive a free hot drink of their choice. No ID will be necessary for corgis. “A cute fluffy butt’ will be proof enough for 200 Degrees staff to issue the free tasty treats,” said a spokesman.

Stephen Fern, managing director at 200 Degrees, said: “With the coronation just around the corner, we’re doubling down on some very British silliness with this special offer.

“We hope all our customers are made to feel like royalty in our shops over the course of the weekend, and that people named Charles and any corgi enjoy their free treats, courtesy of 200 Degrees.”
