The Riverside Festival, an annual event held across Bede Park, Western Boulevard and Castle Gardens, returns for its 25th anniversary next month.
Attended by thousands of guests from a range of ages and backgrounds, the festival, on June 1st and 2nd will also host live bands and music, a fun fair, food stalls, arts and crafts, a beer tent and more.
On the river, you’ll spot colourful boats from across the region and have the chance to take part in demonstrations and boat trips.
Back on land, food lovers can enjoy quality street food from around the globe and sample craft ales, lager, cocktails and more. The Boulevard and Mill Lane will be lined with a market full of local, hand-crafted gifts and adorn the railings with Art on River, a gallery of local talent.
“There’s something for the whole family to enjoy across the weekend,” said a spokesman for the popular event, which is described as ‘Leicester’s biggest free family festival.’
