Leicestershire Woman Plans Dream Holiday to Barbados after winning almost £60,000

A Leicestershire woman, known only as Miss G, has started 2025 with a bang after winning £57,918.40 in the EuroMillions draw.

The lucky winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, matched the five main numbers in the draw and is now planning a dream holiday to Barbados as her reward.

Miss G, who played the game online, used a personal selection of ‘sentimental’ numbers for her entry. National Lottery operator Allwyn confirmed that she is one of more than nine million players who win cash prizes each week.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, congratulated Miss G on her win, saying: “How exciting for Miss G who banked over £57k on EuroMillions just before Christmas. We hope she has an amazing holiday in Barbados. Huge congratulations.”

Lottery ticket sales generate around £30 million each week for good causes, supporting projects in the charity sector, community groups, the arts, sport, and heritage.

Miss G’s win, on December 6, is just one of many big payouts from the National Lottery, with players continuing to make a difference through their participation.
