Leicester City Mourns the Loss of Long-Serving Stadium Announcer Bradley Varnam

Leicester City Football Club is mourning the loss of Bradley Varnam, the Club’s long-serving Stadium PA Announcer, who has died at the age of 56 following a short illness.

A beloved figure at the heart of the Foxes’ matchday experience for more than two decades, Bradley’s unmistakable voice first rang out across Filbert Street in 1997 and continued to resonate through the stands of King Power Stadium following the club’s move in 2002.

For over 25 years, Bradley was the voice that guided fans through unforgettable highs, difficult lows, and every moment in between. His distinctive style and charismatic delivery made him a constant and comforting presence for generations of Leicester supporters.

“Bradley’s voice became part of the soundtrack to this football club’s history,” said a Club spokesperson. “His presence on matchdays will be deeply missed by players, staff, and supporters alike.”

Off the mic, Bradley was known for his vibrant personality, quick wit, and deep-rooted love for Leicester City. Colleagues and friends at the Club fondly recall his unique sense of humour, boundless energy, and unwavering dedication—qualities that extended far beyond his formal role as announcer.

“Brad wasn’t just a voice—he was part of the fabric of this football club,” the statement continued. “He brought joy and professionalism to everything he did, and he leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered fondly.”

Bradley is survived by his wife, Sarah, and their children, Zach and Megan. Leicester City Football Club extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
