Bowel Cancer UK is inviting Leicester locals to walk inside a giant inflatable bowel to raise awareness of bowel cancer and its symptoms.
The giant inflatable bowel – measuring 19 feet by seven feet – is an interactive experience to demonstrate the various stages of bowel cancer, and raise awareness of its symptoms, the importance of taking part in screening and learn about good bowel health.
It’s also a chance for people to ask any questions or share any worries about bowel cancer, whether about themselves, a loved one or friend, to one of Bowel Cancer UK’s friendly and experienced staff and volunteers.
Join Bowel Cancer UK’s awareness roadshow on:
- Tuesday 4 November, 10am–4pm: Beaumont Shopping Centre (indoors), 25 Beaumont Way, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, LE4 1DS
- Wednesday 5 November, 10am–4pm: Asda, Narborough Road South, Braunstone Town, Leicester, LE3 2LL
- Thursday 6 November, 10am–4pm: Leicester City Centre, Humberstone Gate, LE1 3HP

Key symptoms of bowel cancer:
- Bleeding from your bottom
- Blood in your poo
- A change in your pooing habits. You might be going more or less often, or have diarrhoea or constipation that might come and go
- Losing weight but you’re not sure why
- Feeling very tired all the time but you’re not sure why
- A pain or lump in your tummy
