Families will have the opportunity to be beside the seaside in land-locked Leicestershire at a three-day event later this month.
Loughborough by the Sea will take place in Loughborough’s market place from 10am until 4pm from Sunday 18 August to Tuesday 20 August, 2024 and will see the town centre transformed to a beach-style location.
Alongside market stalls and entertainment, the event will feature children’s fun fair rides and a bouncy castle.
Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Charnwood Borough Council’s lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said: “Nothing says ‘summer’ better than a visit to the seaside, and people in Charnwood can now do that without even leaving the borough.
“Please come down, feel the sand between your toes and show your support for what I’m certain will be a fun-filled three days for all the family.
