The teenager, who hails from Ashby, was hand picked to perform at the festival by Brit award winner Arlo Parks.

How he has told his 27,000 followers on Instagram, that his next goal is to actually headline the legendary festival in three years time.

“For someone with no music out yet, I can’t believe how many people came to watch it. So grateful I want to do it all again!” he said.

“My goal now is to the headline it in three years time! I’m so excited for everything that’s coming this year and the music – it’s gonna be crazy! Stay tuned!”

Back in February, Sekou told the Leicester Times that his other musical ambitions included performing at the Brit Awards and the Super Bowl. He would also love the chance to sing on a John Lewis advert, something which he feels his powerful, and super soulful vocals would suit.

After being discovered through TikTok and Soundcloud last year, Sekou was signed up by London-based label Good Soldier Records.

Since then, he has gone from strength to strength.

Earlier this year, he was picked to perform at Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding to Nicola Peltz, and he is set to support John Legend on his tour later this year. His debut EP will also be released in the autumn, songs he has produced over in LA together with some of the industry’s best.

Support for Sekou has been growing rapidly online, with one music industry figure believing that there’s ‘no end’ to what he could achieve.

“I’m so happy for you and proud to know you. There’s no end to what you can do. I’m your cheerleader. Be great, young king,” said American DJ the Blesses Madonna, who has worked with the likes of Dua Lipa.

Responding to his success, Sekou said: “For everything to happen so fast in the space of four months is crazy, but I’m loving it and working hard to hopefully get to the very top! “I’m so excited. It’s all coming this year!”
