THE date is closing in for charities to apply and be a part of this year’s ‘taste-tactic’ Leicester Curry Awards -an annual event which honours this delightful culinary dish.
The popular event, which celebrates the best curry houses across Leicester and Leicestershire, is set to take place on September 26, at the city’s Athena Events Venue.
Every year two local charities are chosen to partner the event and to have its support.
However, the deadline to apply is closing in, and is set for the end of the month (March 31).
The chosen charities will be chosen by an independent panel, and will be notified in early April.
Last year’s chosen charities were Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland, and The Royal Air Forces Association (RAF Association), who each received financial support, as well as a platform for their cause.
The Leicester Curry Awards, which are now in their fifth year, are a hugely popular part of the city’s events calendar, a night which encompasses an exciting mix of music, fun and exquisite food.
A number of respected and high profile guests are expected to be in attendance at the highly prestigious event, which has been a sell-out success over the past few years, and one which continues to grow in popularity.
