The awards celebrate the hard work and talent of any person, group or organisation who has championed the broad genre of romantic fiction in a positive way.

Ms Lamb co-founded New Romantics Press with other RNA members ten years ago.

To date, they have published a total of 15 novels.

“Being shortlisted for such a prestigious award has come as a complete surprise and given me a chance to reflect on what – to date- has been a wonderful career as an author,” said Ms Lamb, who is the proud author of six novels, including ‘Boot Camp Bride’, ‘Scotch on the Rocks’ and ‘Harper’s Highland Fling.’

“I am also grateful for the fabulous friendships I have made throughout this journey, hopefully helping others to achieve their publishing dream too,” she added.

“Going it alone, without the backing of a publisher/agent has been challenging at times but I wouldn’t have come this far without the expertise and generous support of the Romantic Novelists’ Association at local and national level.

“This support has spurred me to write and publish six novels with the seventh about to be published and I would like to take this opportunity to thank whoever has nominated me for this award with all my heart.”

Launched in 2015, the annual RNA Industry Awards seek to champion the authorship of romantic fiction that “shows the value of imagination and the possibility of a happy ending.”

The award nominations come from the entire RNA membership, with other categories including ‘Cover Designer of the Year’, ‘Agent of the Year’ and ‘Romantic Bookseller of the Year.’

Laura James, the RNA Industry Awards organiser said: “I congratulate each and every finalist and thank them and the industry for the unwavering love they show writers and readers of romantic fiction.”

The awards ceremony is set to take place on Friday, November 11 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London.
