Radio 2 has revealed the impressive array of superstar DJs set to take to the stage at next month’s Radio 2 in the Park, held in Leicester.
Held at Victoria Park, the festival on September 16 and 17, will be Radio 2’s biggest ever live music event outside London, and the Radio 2 DJ stage will see some of the station’s favourite presenters playing some of the best music in the world from the past seven decades.
They include Jo Whiley, who will be entertaining crowds with her ‘Shiny Happy Playlist’ on the Sunday, alongside Vernon Kay, who will be providing ‘Dance Sounds of the 90s.’
Sara Cox’s ‘Wower Hour’ will also take place on the Sunday as well as Trevor Nelson’s ‘Rhythm Nation.’
Rylan will be playing Ibiza Anthems on the Saturday and Dermot O’Leary will be playing ‘Alternative Sounds of the 90s’.
Acts across the weekend include James Blunt, Sam Ryder, Jessie Ware Texas and headliners Kylie Minogue and Tears for Fears.
Tickets for the festival weekend have all sold out. However, bar staff are still sought to help serve the 70,000-strong crowd expected over the two days.
