NEW LEICESTER MCDONALD’S CREATES OVER 100 JOBS

A brand-new McDonald’s restaurant has opened in Leicester today, creating 120 new jobs in the city.

The restaurant on Almond Road, opened earlier today (April 13), following significant investment from local franchisee Angus Fraser.

The new restaurant, which is built on the site of a former 105-space car park, will create over 120 new permanent full and part-time jobs for the local community and will boast all of the latest innovations from McDonald’s, focused on improving and enhancing the restaurant experience.

Customers can expect to see free to use tablets, mobile phone charging points, and interactive magic tables

The restaurant will be run by local McDonald’s franchisee Angus Fraser. With the addition of this restaurant, Angus will now employ over 500 people and own and operate four restaurants in Leicester.

“My team and I are excited to be opening a brand-new McDonald’s restaurant in Leicester”, he said.

“It’s fantastic to be able to offer more jobs within the local area with great training opportunities for everyone. We’re looking forward to seeing our customers enjoy our services on offer, including McDelivery.”

The new restaurant will be the third McDonalds to open in Leicester city centre. with the others based in Market Street and the city’s Highcross.

Other branches nearby include those in Fosse Park, Meridian, Abbey Lane, Hamilton and Beaumont Leys.
