Over £30,000 was raised for LOROS thanks to a special Royal Parade which took place last weekend, with hundreds turning up in fancy dress outfits fit for a Queen.
Hundreds of LOROS supporters joined the charity last Saturday (May 28) for its annual Twilight Walk, which had a special Jubilee theme for 2022.
The 10km event is loved for its feel-good energy, fancy dress and entertainment along the route, which started and finished at Leicester’s King Power Stadium.
“Thank you to all those who joined us on the night and those who helped make the event a success”, said a spokesman for LOROS, which delivers free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers.
Every year it provides care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
“It was a royally good time indeed and you all looked brilliant!” added the spokesman.
Money raised as a result of the event will be used to support the care of patients at LOROS Hospice.
