The scenic 10k route showcased some of Leicester’s most iconic sights, including Leicester Museum & Art Gallery, Leicester Cathedral, and the beautiful greenery of Victoria Park. Crowds lined the streets to cheer runners along, joined by lively entertainment and enthusiastic volunteers who helped create a buzzing atmosphere from start to finish.

At the front of the field, the first male finisher was Harry Robinson, completing the course in 33:07. He was followed by Tom Shardlow who secured second place in 33:42, with William Clarke taking third in 33:55.

In the women’s race, Claire Frankland crossed the line first with an impressive time of 35:42. Following not long behind were Roey Sweet and Jessica Morris with a time of 41:39.

As runners crossed the finish line, they were welcomed with well-earned medals, goody bags and plenty of postrace celebrations in the event village. Charity partners, sponsors and local organisations were out chatting with participants and supporters, with refreshments and activities available for everyone to enjoy.

Organisers Run For All, extended a special thank you to the volunteer groups and individuals who gave up their morning to make the event possible. From handing out water to cheering runners’ home, volunteers played a vital part in delivering a smooth and memorable race day experience.

As with every Run For All event, the Leicester 10k once again proved to be an important fundraising opportunity. Participants were encouraged to support a charity of their choice or one of this year’s partner charities, including: Emmaus, George Eliot Hospital Charity, Headway, the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Leicester Tigers Foundation, Shama, Sue Young Cancer Support, Trade, and Wesley Hall Community Centre.

The day saw runners of all ages and abilities cross the finish line – something the organisers are proud to support at every event.

Tristan Batley-Kyle, Operations Director at Run For All, said: “A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s Leicester 10k.

The turnout was fantastic as was the atmosphere – exactly what makes these events so special.

‘It was brilliant to see our charity partners, sponsors and supporters enjoying the event village and helping to create such a lively spot for runners and spectators.

As always, we want to say a massive thank you to our volunteers and to everyone who came out to cheer – events like this simply wouldn’t be the same without you.”
