TRIBUTES PAID TO ‘GENTLE GIANT’ CLIVE HARVEY

Tributes have been paid to a popular Leicestershire police officer, who passed away, with many referring to him as a “gentle giant”.

PC Clive Harvey passed away on April 21, after working for Leicestershire Police for many years. During his time, he had worked all over the county, but more recently at East Midlands Airport, in Castle Donington.

Hundreds of tributes have been posted online, expressing their loss of the much loved officer, and sharing their condolences with his family.

“A wonderful colleague who once met was never forgotten. He brought such a warm glow and smile to everyone he touched”, said one person in a tribute posted online.

“Clive trying to find a patrol car in the early days that he could fit into was hilarious”, he added of the officer, who was noted for size and “larger than life” personality.

“A true gentle giant – kind generous thoughtful and always caring”.

“Will never forget being picked up and carried round the gym by Clive during self defence”, said a colleague, sharing their own personal memory.

“Truly shocked at his passing.

“RIP Clive. Big man, even bigger personality. Everyone loved you”.
