A Wigston charity shop has been revealed as the winner of a festive window competition, thanks to their incredible knitted display.
The town’s Age UK was crowned the winner of the competition, which was organised by Oadby and Wigston Borough Council.
Runners up were named as Belle Ame in South Wigston and Charlie & Alf’s in Oadby.
Councillor Rosemarie Adams, Mayor of Oadby and Wigston Borough Council visited all three stores, to present them with their trophies.
“I would like to congratulate Age UK, as well as Belle Âme and Charlie & Alf’s!” she said.
“The standard of our 22 entries this year was excellent, and this was a difficult decision for the judging panel to make, but these displays were exceptionally creative and really stood out as the result of a lot of hard work.
“Thank you to all of our local businesses who entered for their fantastic efforts, and for helping to bring some festive cheer to our borough.
“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
