Leicester Based Charity, Cerulean Blue Nominated for Prestigious Charity Film Award

Leicester charity Cerulean Blue, are urging people to vote for their nominated film in the Charity Film Awards this January.

The film is dedicated to nurses who cared for us, our families and friends during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The nominated film, ‘Sheilla’s Story’ was produced by the charity to act as a legacy for future generations so they can understand what it was like for nurses living and caring for patients during the Covid Pandemic.

Sheilla Ndarukwa was a staff nurse at Leicester Royal Infirmary during the Pandemic and tells her story of caring for patients during these unprecedented times. She relays her account of the pressure nurses faced, the bonds formed between patients and nurses, the long hours and the toll it took on her and her colleagues.

Founder of Cerulean Blue, Chris Thomas said: “We are delighted that ‘Sheilla’s Story” has been nominated for a Charity Film Award, the film is dedicated to all nurses and care workers that worked tirelessly during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We all know someone that was cared for by these amazing, selfless people and I hope that the film will help future generations understand the sacrifices and dedication nurses showed to us. Public nominations for the award will help us achieve this goal!”
