Specialist diving teams will be conducting further searches of the River Soar tomorrow, in relation to the disappearance of Malgorzata Wnuczek.
Teams with sonar equipment searched the water, between the bridges in Mill Lane and Upperton Road, in June. Searches continued on Monday (October 16) and will also take place tomorrow Wednesday (October 18) in order to locate any remaining unidentified objects within the riverbed.
Malgorzata Wnuczek, a Polish national who was living in Leicester, disappeared on May 16 2006 and her whereabouts remain unknown.

Detective Chief Inspector Jenni Greenway, the senior investigating officer, said: “During the previous search of the riverbed, some items were found within the riverbed which we were unable to identify.
“The next phase of the investigation is to establish what they are and whether they can provide us with information as to what happened to Malgorzata.
“I would still ask that anyone who is able to help us with our enquiries, but has not yet contacted police, to do so. It never is too late to come forward.”
Anyone with information, should call Leicestershire Police on 101, quoting incident 362 of 2 June.
