Popular DJ and broadcaster Marvin Humes, is set to headline a new ‘Ladies Day’ event at Leicestershire County Cricket Club this summer.
The club will be launching the event on Saturday, August 20, at their Uptonsteel County Ground on Grace Road, Leicester.
He currently presents the Monday–Thursday late night show across Capital Radio, and previously hosted The Official Big Top 40 chart show across UK commercial radio stations.
Before that he was one quarter of popular boy band JLS, who were the runners-up to Alexandra Burke in the fifth series of the X Factor.
The Ladies Day event, will be held in conjunction with the Royal London Cup fixture as Leicestershire take on Notts Outlaws at the Uptonsteel County Ground.
Following the game, Mr Humes will entertain the crowds with a live DJ set, hosted on the pitch.
Live pitch-side entertainment will also be provided by daytime DJ Ryan Arnold.
Organisers say that it promises to be an “action-packed day of cricket”, with a full array of exciting entertainment provided.
The new match day Fan Zone will be open and in full swing with lots of activities and games and there will be a wide range of food outlets and bars to choose from all around the ground.
The club will also be running competitions throughout the day with a variety of fantastic prizes with a chance to win the ‘2022 Best Dressed Lady’.
