A restaurant where staff are trained to insult customers is coming to Leicester this summer.
‘Karen’s Diner’ will arrive in pop-up form on June 2 opposite Leicester’s Curve theatre, and promises to serve up ‘great food but awful service’ to people in the city.
The immersive experience diner is a restaurant which trades off the obnoxious nature of supposed ‘Karens’ and their tendency to complain.
Despite the promises of horrendous and rude service however, the venue is set to serve up a delicious handcrafted burgers, spicy wings, fries, vegetable options and a selection of cocktails and beers.
“Don’t miss out on this great food but awful service! You’re in for a horrendously good time, but don’t ask for a refund!” said a Karen’s spokesman.
“You can expect good food, good fun and a dining experience like you’ve never had before. Let us know if it’s your birthday, if your name is Karen and for the love of Karen don’t ask to speak to the manager.”
Karen’s Diner is an Australian chain of restaurants, first launching in Sydney in 2021. As the popularity of the brand has grown, it has expanded into new areas.
In the UK, Karen’s diner can be found in Birmingham, Sheffield and Manchester.
The Leicester pop-up runs from Monday, June 2 until Sunday, September 24. Tickets and more infromation can be found at: https://www.bemorekaren.com/
