Young Leaders Celebrated at King’s Trust Final Team Presentation

Leicestershire’s next generation of young leaders were honoured at a prestigious ceremony led by Deputy Lieutenant Suleman Nagdi MBE DL, representing His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant Mike Kapur OBE CStJ.

The event marked the successful completion of an intensive twelve-week King’s Trust program (previously Prince’s Trust) certificates designed to develop leadership skills and community engagement among young people.

“Each participant has not only earned valuable qualifications but has authored the first chapter of their own success story,” said Deputy Lieutenant Nagdi.

“Since its founding by King Charles III in 1976, The Trust has illuminated the path forward for over one million young people across the United Kingdom.”

The program, which focuses on personal development and leadership training, has seen participants tackle community projects, develop professional skills, and grow in confidence.

This year’s cohort demonstrated exceptional commitment to their personal growth and community service.

Deputy Lieutenant Nagdi praised the transformative impact of the program:

“Throughout these twelve weeks, we witnessed young individuals pushing beyond their perceived limitations, discovering their inner strength, and blossoming into confident leaders.”

The ceremony recognised both the graduates and the dedicated team leaders who supported them throughout the program. The King’s Trust continues to play a vital role in youth development across Leicester, creating lasting positive change in local communities.”
