Over 150 Bikers Deliver Easter Joy to Children at Leicester’s General Hospital

More than 150 bikers took part in a heartwarming charity Easter Egg Ride to Leicester’s General Hospital, delivering chocolate eggs and toys to children who are too unwell to spend Easter at home.

The riders were joined by members of the Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes and supported by Leicestershire Police, who helped the impressive convoy navigate the route from Hinckley’s Triumph Motorcycle Factory.

Many of the bikers embraced the festive spirit by donning fancy dress—including plenty of Easter Bunny costumes—as they set off on their mission to brighten the weekend for young patients at the hospital.

Karen Knight, FVE Manager at Triumph, said: “This was the first group Easter Egg Run to take place from the Triumph Factory in Hinckley, and the whole team was delighted to be part of it. Riding alongside the Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes and Leicestershire Police, there was an incredible sense of camaraderie throughout the event.

“We’ve been working closely with Sarah Smullen, Corporate Fundraising Assistant for the Leicester Hospitals Charity, to make this happen—and we’re absolutely thrilled with the number of bikers who turned up to support such a special cause.”
