Women Released from Custody Following Death of 48-Year-Old Man in Leicester

Two women who were arrested after the death of a 48-year-old man in Leicester have been released from custody.

Residents reportedly heard screaming before a man was found seriously injured by a block of flats in Pluto Close on Sunday (August 13).

He had reportedly fallen from a window of the block of flats, according to multiple witnesses. However, Leicestershire Police has not confirmed this and is investigating how the man sustained his injuries.

They attended the scene at around 2pm along with the ambulance service. However the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two women (aged 42 and 26) were arrested in connection with the incident and have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Nicole Main, said “Our enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident and subsequent death are continuing.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything prior to when the man was found. In particular, residents within the Framland House block may have information that would assist us in our enquiries and I would encourage them to come forward.”
