Dozens of Bikers Take Part in Charity Toy Run for Leicester Hospitals Charity

Over 80 bikers took part in a charity toy run from Hinckley’s Triumph Motorcycle Factory to Leicester General Hospital.

The ride took place last Saturday, December 16, with many of the riders donning festive fancy dress – elves, Rudolph, and even Santa Claus himself!

The motorcyclists were joined by the Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes who helped the group to spectacularly navigate Leicester ring road in costume, on route to deliver the many boxes of toys that had been collected for the children and young adults at the Leicester general Hospital that are too poorly to be home at Christmas and/or those that have had accidents.

Karen Knight, Triumph FVE Manager said, “This is the first toy run held from the Triumph Factory in Hinckley and all the team were delighted to be part of the ride, alongside the L&R Blood Bikes. Everyone showed such great camaraderie.

“We’ve been working with Sarah Smullen, Corporate Fundraising Assistant for the Leicester Hospitals Charity to make this happen and we’re absolutely thrilled with the number of bikers that chose to come along and get involved”.
